Meet Amanda Valvano – Therapist in Montreal Specializing in Men's Mental Health

Hi, I’m Amanda (she/her), founder of Grow Well & Co and a Certified Canadian Counsellor (C.C.C.). I offer in-person counselling in downtown Montreal and virtual sessions across Canada, creating a welcoming space for self-exploration, healing, and growth.

My approach is deeply rooted in collaboration and client-centered care. I believe therapy is more than just working through challenges—it’s about fostering resilience, self-compassion, and meaningful change. Having personally navigated anxiety, a later-in-life neurodivergent diagnosis, and attachment dynamics, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work, meeting you where you are with empathy and understanding.

At Grow Well & Co, my mission is to help individuals build emotional well-being and navigate life’s complexities with confidence. Whether you’re facing personal struggles, relationship challenges, or seeking deeper self-awareness, I’m here to support you in embodying the life you deserve.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll find me connecting with friends and family over coffee, exploring new places, or hanging out with my pup, Franky. I’d love to connect—let’s book a discovery call and see how we can work together toward your goals.

My APPROACH

In our work together, I focus on you, using a flexible, client-centered approach. I draw from several therapeutic methods to meet your unique needs: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps reframe unhelpful thoughts; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) builds resilience by making space for emotions; Mindfulness-Based Therapy fosters calm in the present moment; and Existential Therapy explores purpose and meaning. The therapeutic relationship is essential to our progress, providing a safe space for reflection and growth. Your feedback is always welcome, and together, we’ll adapt our approach to support your journey.

My approach is all about creating a safe, client-centered space where you lead, and I offer guidance tailored to your journey. My practice is rooted in the belief that we all need to offer ourselves the compassion and care we so easily give to others. I believe therapy is a collaborative process—focused on self-discovery, growth, and achieving your goals at a pace that feels right for you. Using a blend of therapeutic methods, I adapt to your needs, ensuring our work together is flexible, compassionate, and empowering. My goal is to help you build a stronger connection with yourself and others as you navigate life’s challenges.
