At Sessions with Amanda, I’m here to meet you where you are in your journey with empathy and understanding. I know how it feels to be stuck and the power of being truly heard when life gets tough. I offer individual counselling, both online and in-person from my downtown Montreal office, making therapy accessible and flexible.
I work with adults, including young professionals and millennials, creating a therapeutic plan that’s tailored to your unique needs and adaptable as you grow. My approach is eclectic and collaborative, drawing on a variety of methods to support your goals. I also value the role of psychoeducation and will integrate this into our sessions, empowering you with knowledge and tools for lasting change.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy gives us an hour to dive into what’s weighing on you and make space to process it. My approach is collaborative, so I’ll regularly check in, ask for feedback, and make sure we’re moving toward your goals. Life is unpredictable, and sometimes you may need to bring something new into our session—that’s completely okay. I see therapy as a fluid, evolving process, just like life itself.

RATES & POLICIES
Rates
$ 145 / 50 Minute Session or $ 217.5/ 90 Minute Session
I currently do not offer direct billing however, I provide a receipt for each session, which you can submit to most insurance companies. You can submit receipts under my status as a Certified Canadian Counsellor (C.C.C., CCPA) or as a Naturopath (A.N.Q.), depending on your coverage.
Cancellation Policy
48-hour cancellation policy
I have a 48-hour cancellation policy in place. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session will be billed at the full session cost.

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other. I’ll ask about your background, what’s bringing you to therapy, and what goals you’d like to work on. This session helps us create a foundation for our work together and gives you space to share what’s most important to you.

My sessions are typically 50 minutes long, though 90-minute sessions are also available if you're looking for more time to explore.

Yes! While most sessions are 50 minutes, I also offer 90-minute sessions for those who want a bit more time to dive deeper. Some clients find the extended time helpful for processing complex emotions or working through multiple things at once. We can decide together what feels right for you as we go.

I meet with the majority of my clients on a weekly basis. I ask that all new clients commit to meeting weekly, for at-least the first 6 weeks. This will allow us to start off on a strong foot, so you can start seeing progress right away.
I may recommend that we increase or decrease the frequency of sessions to best meet your needs.

Yes, I offer online sessions, making it easy to access support from the comfort of your own space. Virtual sessions work much like in-person ones, using a secure platform where we can connect face-to-face.

Yes! In-person sessions are at my office located in downtown Montreal, a few steps away from Peel Metro. This option is available if you prefer meeting in a private, comfortable space.

My approach is solutions focused. This means you won’t have to be in therapy forever. Many of my clients find that they’ve met their goals in 3-6 months and no longer need therapy.
I also have clients who choose to remain in therapy for much longer; they have seen improvements and still really enjoy having ongoing support and a place to process their thoughts and feelings each week.
